Streptomycin was not effective at lower concentration i.e. 31.2 µg/ml and Ampicillin was effective at higher concentrations i.e. 125 and 500 µg/ml. Xoo isolate no. 17.1(collected from Pindi Bhattian) was best controlled by the Benzylpenicilline followed by Sinobionic, Kanamycin and Streptomycin, while the Ampicillin and Chloramphenicol were unable to control/ suppress its growth. Sinobionic was effective at all the concentrations to inhibit the growth of Xoo isolate number 77.2 (collected form district Sahiwal) while Kanamycin and Streptomycin were found to be effective at 62.5µg/ml or above. At the same time Benzylpencillin, Ampicillin and Chloramphenicol were unable to control the growth of bacteria (Table 1).
